JB Train Tours (Since 1975)
Traveling by train has got a nostalgy for virtually everybody. To sleep and dine on a train, whilst enjoying the scenery passing by, is a dream come true for young and old.
JB Train Tours (Since 1975) hosts a variety of train tours, departing mainly from Johannesburg to various destinations in Southern Africa. It includes holiday train tours to Namibia, the annual Namaqualand Wild Flowers, Cape Town, Durban and KwaZulu-Natal, as well as to some of the National Art Festivals country wide.
The Motorbike-on-Train tour to the Western Cape & Boland (including Cape Town) has grown by leaps-and-bounds in popularity since its inception in 2007. This tour is ideal for bikers who'd like to enjoy the beauty and scenery of the Cape. It is a TOUR, NOT a race, rally or booze cruise.
The annual sports trains to: the Argus Cycle Race and Two Oceans marathon in Cape Town; the Comrades Marathon in Durban; the Midmar Swim in the KZN Midlands and rugby tests in Durban and Cape Town, are all very popular.
Accommodation, bedding and meals are provided on the train whilst traveling, whilst accommodation in good hotels is provided off the train. Bus transport is provided to tourist destinations and tour guides lead the tours.
The tours are affordable, comfortable, safe and secure and people from all ages enjoy traveling with us by train.
